Hi, it's DAve (the wandering bard, itinerant photographer, husband, author and other interesting (well to me anyway) bits and pieces)!

I am well aware that the posts on this page have been spasmodic to say the least, in fact they have been practically non-existent this year!

That said, I have been busy with family stuff, photo work and also matters of the heart!

But now I feel that the time is now right for me to give everyone a heads up about the latest book I am working on. The cover of which is illustrated here:-

The content of this book is made up of snippets of conversations and other  moments from my experiences (over the last 25 or so years) during my work as an entertainment professional.

".... the Variety Club of Great Britain Awards at the Royal Lancaster Hotel, Park Lane, London........I mentioned that I was Musical Director of The Spotlight Theater Company and thanked him for his signed compliment slip wishing us all the best for our forthcoming production of Godspell." - David Essex

"My first encounter with George was during the time I was a Saturday assistant at the Warrington branch of Boots The Chemist Ltd.  It was around 1968......." - George Harrison (The Beatles)

"The question master was Barry Davies (the TV sports presenter) and he told me afterwards that he had had a feeling from the start that I was destined to be the winner." - Barry Davies MBE

These are just a few snippets from the book and although it will probably never be complete it is as up to date as it possibly can be (simply because of the way my work is....)  Who knows next week I could be spending time with more celebrities, famous faces!

So thank you for taking the time to read this post, have a fantastic week!

Be safe, be careful and above all remember

Don’t Predict The Future - CREATE It !

DAve x

Good Morning and Merrie Meet Welcome to today's blog! "Flat Calm - next stop America"  It is a beautiful, blue sky day and as you can see in the photo the sea is a wonderful Flat Calm. It is at times like this when living in North Devon has significant plus points that come into play. The crowds have diminished, the roads are much quieter and safer and we are able to enjoy the late Summer Sunshine in comfort. This weekend is #3 with friends and the caravans, it is also "hopefully" the last one we will spend with a leaking shower unit. If I am lucky, I might get some time to write a few forward posts for the blogs, get some lyrics on paper for the latest album I want to record PLUS get some more photographs up on the Moor. BUT THEN AGAIN -  I may do none of those things and just CHILL! We will have to see. Anyway - whatever you choose to do with your weekend make it a great one and enjoy oooOOOooo Thanks for being there and thank you for reading this post! Please...

Hi and welcome to my Personal Blog. Let us begin with an apology for the missing couple of day's posts, but these days were taken up with hospital visits and also our Wedding Anniversary (Sept.28th) 47 years ago I married Alison, the love of my life!   We were married by Rev'd John Flory in the Parish Church of St.Chad, Patchway, Bristol and then we had the reception at Stanshawes Court Hotel, Yate, Bristol. It was a brilliant day celebrating with family and good friends and then it was followed by a Honeymoon in Paignton. Life then rambled on quite happily although there were a few ups and downs, there were  some fantastic moments plus a few horrendous ones, some comedy and some tragedy.  We have been blessed with 2 brilliant daughters who make us so proud and a little boy who didn't actually make a successful transition from womb to world but he is still and always will be our son. Eventually after navigating the twists and turns of life's journey we ended up livin...

18/11/22 Anger - Something To Be Aware Of!

Anger -  something  to be aware of! Anger is an emotion characterized by antagonism toward someone or something you feel has deliberately done you wrong. Anger can be a good thing. It can give you a way to express negative feelings, for example, or motivate you to find solutions to problems. But excessive anger can cause problems! Anger is a natural reaction that we experience if we feel threatened or frustrated. It is the first emotion that we experience and the last one we learn to manage effectively. Human infants begin to really display anger as early as 4 months old, and then as we get older we spend the rest of our lives denying it or suppressing it as a troublesome emotion. There are believed to be 2 main types of anger:- Destructive anger and Healing anger Destructive anger is expressed in an unhealthy way and causes harm. For example, a person may act out aggressively towards ot...
