07/09/21 A Bit Of A Rant! (Part 1)

Hi and thank you for joining me on't blog today.

One which I am sorry to say is about venting off steam following recent events and a potentially ruined weekend away.

Recently I had my caravan serviced and when I collected it I was told that they had discovered a small water leak - despite this "leak" not having manifest itself at any time prior to this service.  I was also told that they had managed to sort it out and that everything should be fine going forwards.

Having parted with over £350 for said service, we took the caravan back to site and were really looking forwards to a nice, relaxing weekend with our friends.

We arrived on site during Friday afternoon and went through all the set up processes and then with that done, we decided to make a drink.   I connected the water and when I went back out to get some more things from the car, the person next door told me that he had tightened the connection fitting because it was leaking.

I thanked him and went back into the caravan and continued to make said drink.  Alison commented that she could still hear the pump working but then it stopped so I said it was probably just topping up the tank after drawing the water for the kettle.

However a few minutes later the pump was running again but we had not drawn off any water!

I went into the bathroom and discovered that water was pouring out of the shower head despite the tap being turned off........................!!!  So because the only way for water to get to the shower head was via the tap there seemed to be something of a problem going on hmmmmmm!!!

In addition I also discovered that the water coming from the shower head was warm so, because the incoming supply is cold water, it must have been heated by the caravan system.

After we had made this discovery I emailed the Manager of the company that had carried out the service and asked him to call me back as a matter of urgency (I am still waiting for that call 60+ hours later).

As a result every time you switch the water on to fill the sink or to fill the kettle etc. warm water starts to flow from the shower head.

To be continued........

18/11/22 Anger - Something To Be Aware Of!

Anger -  something  to be aware of! Anger is an emotion characterized by antagonism toward someone or something you feel has deliberately done you wrong. Anger can be a good thing. It can give you a way to express negative feelings, for example, or motivate you to find solutions to problems. But excessive anger can cause problems! Anger is a natural reaction that we experience if we feel threatened or frustrated. It is the first emotion that we experience and the last one we learn to manage effectively. Human infants begin to really display anger as early as 4 months old, and then as we get older we spend the rest of our lives denying it or suppressing it as a troublesome emotion. There are believed to be 2 main types of anger:- Destructive anger and Healing anger Destructive anger is expressed in an unhealthy way and causes harm. For example, a person may act out aggressively towards ot...

Good Morning and Merrie Meet Welcome to today's blog! "Flat Calm - next stop America"  It is a beautiful, blue sky day and as you can see in the photo the sea is a wonderful Flat Calm. It is at times like this when living in North Devon has significant plus points that come into play. The crowds have diminished, the roads are much quieter and safer and we are able to enjoy the late Summer Sunshine in comfort. This weekend is #3 with friends and the caravans, it is also "hopefully" the last one we will spend with a leaking shower unit. If I am lucky, I might get some time to write a few forward posts for the blogs, get some lyrics on paper for the latest album I want to record PLUS get some more photographs up on the Moor. BUT THEN AGAIN -  I may do none of those things and just CHILL! We will have to see. Anyway - whatever you choose to do with your weekend make it a great one and enjoy oooOOOooo Thanks for being there and thank you for reading this post! Please...

OH MY DAYS - it is almost April !!!!! - where has that time gone?

Hi it's DAve and thank you for joining me on this page...............                                          I cannot believe that it is 4 (yes FOUR ) months since my last post on here.  That is so remiss of me and I can only apologise and start to rebuild the regularity as we go forwards. The calendar for this year is starting to fill up quite nicely which is good - we have Easter in early April followed by a wedding in Tavistock a couple of weeks later (sadly for me that actually clashes with an event I was going to be supporting (doing short coaching taster bytes) and because the bride is a long standing family friend I have no alternative but to attend. In addition I have been looking into different ways I can do something slightly different and as a result I have been writing some short stories (only 5 words) for example  "Alone in the darkness she wept!" or "Yester...
